Lifestream Watersystems Inc. manufactures the MMF 5 and MMF 10 Commercial Duty Membrane Microfiltration Systems to produce high quality water from various sources of water for small communities, hotels, industrial applications, resorts, and many other applications. The units include the latest technology hollow fiber microfiltration modules, feedwater strainer, two pretreatment dosing systems with onboard tanks, membrane integrity test system, automatic backwash system and membrane cleaning system. The highest quality components have been selected for the rugged duty that will be required for the water purification applications of the MMF systems.

Modifications of these systems are available on request to accommodate individual customer needs for space available, and special applications. The entire system is operated with a PLC interfaced through a touch screen panel for easy operation of all functions. This system can be provided with Ethernet interface capability if needed. SYSTEM FEATURES:
- Corrosion resistant cleaning and backwash pumps with 5 HP TEFC motors, interfaced to PLC.
- The system can be operated as either a crossflow or deadend system
- Inlet feed strainer to protect the membrane modules and pumps.
- Dedicated on board 80 gallon cleaning tank and pump with automatic valving.
- Two chemical injection systems for addition of antiscalant and other chemicals, including tank, dosing pump and all valving, interfaced to PLC.
- Membrane Ultrafiltration System controlled by PLC with all controls and valving.
- Stainless steel Backwash pump which is controlled to maintain regular backwash cycles intiated by timer, differential pressure, or total gallons processed.
- 5 or 10 Membrane Ultrafiltration Modules which are individually removable for maintenance.
- The molecular weight cutoff of the membranes is 150,000 Daltons (but can be supplied as low as 1000 Daltons cutoff).
- Cleaning system with 100 gallon tank, valving and pump.
- Touch Screen readouts for:
- Feedwater flow
- Filtrate flow
- Waste Water flow
- Pressure at each filtration step
- Turbidity of permeate water
- Temperature of permeate water
- Totalizing hour meter.
