Skid mounted desalination systems with companion diesel powered generator sets increasingly are serving rural areas to provide fresh potable water for local communities. Also the gensets are very useful where local power can be irregular, to act as back up for the system. Systems are available on skids from as small as 500 gpd up to 32,000 gpd. Larger systems are available up to 264,000 gpd on either multiple skids or constructed inside containers. Accessories such as chlorination system, collapsible tank for water storage, transfer and submersible pumps may also be incorporated into the system. The systems can be customized to the need of the location and application.
